Winner of the golden steering wheel 2020
The new Hyundai i20 only recently celebrated its dealer premiere and has now been honoured with the Golden Steering Wheel for the second time. The i20 is the best car in the class up to €25,000 in the awards organised by Bild am Sonntag and Auto Bild. The editors tested the small car in detail and judged it to be the best in its vehicle class.
Hyundai is also focussing on modern technologies for safety and connectivity in the new i20. Extensive safety functions such as a multi-collision brake, six airbags and the automatic emergency call system eCall improve the driving experience, come as standard and give a feeling of safety.
"With the new i20, Hyundai is setting standards in the segment of vehicles up to 25,000 euros. The Koreans have developed it with great attention to detail. I can feel this in the agile handling, the great steering and the exemplary 48-volt hybrid system. I don't feel the usual starting weakness of small turbocharged engines at all in the new Hyundai i20, especially in combination with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission," says Andreas May, Head of Test and Technology at Auto Bild.
