Efficient engines with low emissions
The Hyundai i20 is available with three petrol engine variants. There is a choice of a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine and two versions of the 1.0 T-GDI - either as a classic version or with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. The combined fuel consumption is around 5.2 to 5.5 litres per 100 km. CO₂ emissions are between 119 and 126 g/km with a CO₂ class D - making the i20 a comparatively environmentally conscious car in its class.

This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects and applies to all new car purchases from an authorised Hyundai dealer - like us, CSB Schimmel in Berlin. You also receive a mobility guarantee for the same period - so you are also covered throughout Europe in the event of a breakdown. The warranty is tied to the vehicle. This means that a later buyer - of a used car, for example - can still benefit from the remaining warranty claims, provided the vehicle has been regularly serviced.
Technical data and consumption values
The modern petrol engines of the Hyundai i20 differ in terms of power, displacement, transmission and equipment. All variants are economical in terms of fuel consumption and are assigned to CO₂ class D. Depending on personal preference, the Hyundai i20 can be driven with a classic manual gearbox or with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The DCT gearbox shifts particularly smoothly and with almost no noticeable interruption - ideal for a comfortable driving experience, especially in dense city traffic or when starting off frequently.
A diesel engine is not currently offered for the Hyundai i20. All engines run on petrol and comply with the Euro 6d emissions standard. For drivers who value fuel consumption and environmental friendliness, the hybrid version with 48-volt technology offers a particular advantage - without the need for external charging.
