Awarded for outstanding achievements in digitalisation
We were named the overall winner of the Automotive Business Award 2024 in the digitalisation category. We came out on top from a double-digit number of nominated companies. We won with our comprehensive digitalisation strategy, which has been in place since 2016 and has already been 95% implemented, and with our "Social Performance Recruiting" project.
CSB Schimmel Automobile is driving forward the digitalisation of its business divisions and has already made remarkable progress. One key project was the creation of a software landscape centred around the dealer management system. This includes an online appointment scheduler with resource planning and connection to the personnel management system, stock market exports for the vehicles and the connection to the commission settlement programme. These modules are key components of our comprehensive digitalisation strategy.

The award was presented by Germany's leading trade media brand for the automotive trade and service "Kfz-betrieb" and its partners Bank Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (BDK), CG Car-Garantie Versicherungs-AG, Deutsche Automobil Treuhand (DAT), Loco-Soft, Mobile.de and TÜV Nord Mobilität.
We at CSB Schimmel Automobile came out on top in the digitalisation category with an innovative approach to HR marketing. In view of the current shortage of staff and skilled labour in the automotive industry, we face the challenge of recruiting qualified workers for vehicle sales and workshops in Berlin's demanding capital city labour market.
To tackle this problem, we rely on social performance recruiting and a simple application process using a lead funnel system. We place targeted video adverts on the Facebook and Instagram platforms and enable potential candidates to apply in less than 60 seconds. The videos are presented by our own employees, especially automotive mechatronics technicians, which increases the authenticity and credibility of the adverts. The entire conception and production of the videos is carried out in-house. This innovative approach leads to a significantly higher number of applications and considerably reduces costs compared to conventional adverts on job portals.
