Electric range of up to 620 kilometres according to WLTP
With its state-of-the-art electric powertrain and a remarkably low drag coefficient of just 0.259 cW, the Hyundai IONIQ 9 achieves a range of up to 620km10
according to the WLTP. The 110 kWh battery forms the heart of the powertrain. Thanks to the innovative 800-volt charging technology, charging is exceptionally fast: at a 350-kW fast-charging station, the batterycharges
from 10 to 80 per cent in just around 24 minutes11.
Reclining seats with a recline function for maximum comfort
The Relax seats in the first and second rows offer premium comfort of the highest standard. They can be adjusted to various reclining positions and are perfect for relaxing breaks. The modern design and high-quality materials create a luxurious atmosphere in the interior. The Relax function for the driver’s and front passenger’s seats comes as standard on the TECHNIQ and UNIQ models. Those opting for the six-seater variant with two comfort single seats featuring the Relax function in the second row can choose the 6-Seater Relax Package in the UNIQ range foran additional charge¹
of €1,000.

Technical details of the IONIQ 9
Electric platform with 800-volt technology and fast charging
The Hyundai IONIQ 9 is based on the innovative Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which was developed specifically for electric vehicles. This architecture enables shorter charging times, longer ranges and a spacious interior. Measuring 5.06 metres in length, 1.98 metres in width and 1.79 metres in height, the vehicle is clearly positioned in the upper echelon of electric SUVs. The 3.13-metre wheelbase ensures plenty of room to move across all three rows of seats. The IONIQ 9 offers flexibility when it comes to charging: at a 350-kW fast-charging station, you can charge from 10per cent
to 80per cent
in just 24 minutes¹¹. For everyday use, an 11 kW AC wallbox is suitable – a full charge from 10 to 100 per cent then takes around 10 hours.
Drive options with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
Depending on your needs, the IONIQ 9 is available with a choice of powertrain options:
- Rear-wheel drive: 160 kW (218 PS), 350 Nm torque, 0–100 km/h in 9.4 seconds, top speed 190 km/h
- All-wheel drive: 226 kW (307 PS), 605 Nm torque, 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, top speed 200 km/h
- All-wheel drive Performance: 315 kW (428 PS), 700 Nm torque, 0–100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, top speed 200 km/h
The 110 kWh battery provides all variants with sufficient power for everyday use and longer journeys. The towing capacity is up to 1,600 kg for the rear-wheel-drive models and up to 2,500 kg for the all-wheel-drive models (braked, 12%).
Seating for six or seven passengers across three rows
In its standard configuration, the IONIQ 9 offers seven seats across three rows – ideal for families or anyone who needs plenty of space. In the UNIQ trim level, two six-seater variants are available for an additional charge of €1,000 each: the 6-seater Swivel Package with swivelling individual seats, or the 6-seater Relax Package with comfort individual seats and a reclining function in the second row. The boot capacity ranges from 338 litres behind the third row of seats, through 908 litres behind the second row, up to a maximum of 2,419 litres (7-seater) or 2,494 litres (6-seater) with the seats folded down. In addition, the front boot (‘frunk’) offers up to 88 litres of storage space on rear-wheel-drive models and 52 litres on all-wheel-drive models.
Energy consumption and CO₂ emissions according to WLTP
The combined energy consumption of the IONIQ 9 ranges between 19.9 and 20.6 kWh per 100 kilometres according to WLTP, depending on the powertrain variant and wheel size. As a pure electric vehicle, the IONIQ 9 produces no local CO₂ emissions when in use and is classified in CO₂ class A.
Driver Assistance Systems and Safety Features
The IONIQ 9 comes as standard with an extensive range of driver assistance systems. These include, amongst others, Autonomous Emergency Braking 2.0, Motorway Assist 2.0 with hand detection, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Cross-Traffic Assist and Intelligent Traffic Sign Recognition. Front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera are also standard.
Depending on the trim level, further features are included: on the TECHNIQ and UNIQ trims, a 360° camera, Remote Parking Assist 2.0, a head-up display and a digital rear-view mirror are all standard. In the entry-level IONIQ 9, the technology package featuring these features is available for anadditional charge¹
of €1,350.
