Honda vehicles are characterised by long-lasting engines and high-quality workmanship. To keep your vehicle that way, you need the right diagnostic technology and in-depth knowledge of the brand. Our team offers both - at a fair and transparent price, without being tied to a Honda dealership.

Honda relies on largely independent engine architectures and drive concepts: from the i-VTEC system and Earth Dreams technology to the e:HEV hybrid. This independence sets Honda apart from many Asian manufacturers who share platforms and engines within large corporate alliances. Our more than thirty years of experience with Asian vehicle technology, particularly with Hyundai and Mitsubishi, gives our mechatronics engineers a sound basic understanding. They also benefit from this expertise in the design of Honda vehicles. We have the necessary diagnostic systems and special tools for the current model ranges, and we use original Honda components or parts of equivalent quality to the manufacturer's standard for spare parts.

Recalls, special equipment, upcoming service intervals - we can also provide you with expert advice on these issues. Owners of older models such as the Prelude, Integra or S2000, which are now regarded as classic and vintage cars, can rely on us for professional service based on our many years of experience.

Unlike many manufacturers, Honda relies on a Maintenance Minder system: instead of fixed kilometre intervals, the vehicle calculates the next service date based on actual driving data such as engine load, engine speed and temperature. We follow these specifications and carry out the full scope of inspections:

• Oil change with the prescribed engine oil specification
• Replacement of air, oil and cabin filters
• Inspection of the brake system including brake fluid
• Checking the fluid levels, cooling circuit, drive belts and spark plugs
• Electronic fault diagnosis with recording of safety-relevant data
• Model-dependent additional checks depending on equipment and drive type

A special maintenance point at Honda concerns the CVT transmission, which is installed in the Jazz, Civic and HR-V, among others. Honda explicitly prescribes a transmission oil change for certain model series and recommends it for others. In both cases, it helps to increase the service life. At the end of each inspection, we reset the Maintenance Minder and fully document all work carried out in the service booklet.

Your manufacturer's warranty remains fully valid when serviced in our independent workshop - this right is guaranteed by the European Block Exemption Regulation (BER), provided that all work is carried out professionally and in accordance with factory specifications.

The 1.6 i-DTEC diesel in the Civic and CR-V, the 1.0 and 1.5 VTEC Turbo from the Earth Dreams series, the older i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engines - all three engine families have characteristic weak points, which we routinely diagnose and rectify.

In the case of the i-DTEC, particulate filter problems and defects in the EGR cooling system are the most common, especially when the vehicle is predominantly driven short distances.

The Earth Dreams turbo engines occasionally exhibit oil dilution due to fuel ingress, which requires targeted diagnosis.

The i-VTEC petrol engines of older model years sometimes require valve clearance corrections and repairs due to increased oil consumption.

Regardless of the engine, our range of repairs includes, among other things

• Brake replacement and wheel alignment
• Work on the chassis, shock absorbers and steering
• Replacement of clutch and transmission components
• Repairs to the exhaust system including catalytic converter and lambda probe

Honda vehicles are known for their high residual value. In the event of damage to the paintwork and bodywork, prompt repair is therefore recommended in order to maintain this value. Our in-house paint shop at the Lichtenberg site takes care of the work - from parking bumps to complete accident repairs. In the event of an insurance claim, we handle the entire damage management process: damage documentation, communication with the insurer and completion on time.

Two electric motors, a petrol engine as a generator and a permanently coupled direct connection for higher speeds - this is how Honda's e:HEV system works in a nutshell. As a rule, the vehicle drives purely electrically; only when more power is required does the combustion engine switch on directly as a generator or via the mechanical coupling. This concept, which is used in the Jazz, HR-V, ZR-V and CR-V, differs fundamentally from the parallel hybrids of other manufacturers and requires specific diagnostic knowledge.

The vehicle range is complemented by all-electric models such as the Honda e and e:Ny1. Our team has the required high-voltage qualification for work on all electrified Honda vehicles. The scope of services includes checking the condition of the high-voltage battery, software updates, checking the cooling circuit and diagnosing the electric drivetrain. If the actual consumption deviates noticeably from the WLTP standard values, we systematically narrow down the cause - from battery capacity and tyre condition to software calibration.

We recommend a preliminary technical check before every general inspection (HU) and exhaust emissions test (AU). For Honda models with i-DTEC diesel, the condition of the particulate filter should be checked; for older i-VTEC petrol engines, it is worth checking the exhaust gas values via the OBD interface. In this way, problems with the catalytic converter or the lambda sensors can be recognised in good time before they lead to a chargeable follow-up inspection. A DEKRA inspector carries out the actual HU/AU directly in our workshop.
