Tips for a good climate in your car

We're all looking forward to summer. If it gets hotter than expected, we can relax in the car in pleasant temperatures. Even 40 degrees outside can be comfortably endured. Provided the air conditioning works as expected. To help you keep a cool head when it gets really hot in summer, here are a few tips:

• It is best to park the car in the shade and ventilate the interior for several minutes with the doors open before setting off. You will save fuel if you leave the window down for a few minutes before setting off and slowly rev up the air conditioning.
• At the start of the journey, switch to recirculated air and turn the system up to maximum. But don't overdo it here either. Too cold is unhealthy. Once the desired temperature has been reached, switch the system from recirculated air to fresh air.
• If you have the feeling that the air in the interior is stagnant or your windows even mist up, then the cause is often a dirty pollen filter. Installing a new activated charcoal filter provides a remedy and fresh air.
• If air is no longer passing through the air conditioning system, the cooling fins may be damaged or too much dirt has accumulated. The workshop can provide a remedy.
