With an impressive 650 hp and an 84 kWh battery, the IONIQ 5N offers breathtaking acceleration and an electric range of up to 480 kilometres.
The interior of the IONIQ 5 N continues the sporty character, with bucket seats, sports steering wheel and N-specific details that emphasise the sports car character. A simulated 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a rev counter in the instrument cluster enhance the driving experience, while three driving sounds, including the sound of a turbo four-cylinder engine, appeal to the senses.
The IONIQ 5 N has two electric motors with a total output of 609 hp, which can even be increased to 650 hp and 770 Nm of torque with the N Grin Boost. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. The optimised 84 kWh battery enables fast charging with up to 350 kW, whereby 10-80% can be charged in just 18 minutes. The range will be announced at market launch.

The IONIQ 5 N redefines thermal management under demanding racetrack conditions in an impressive way. An innovative battery thermal management system with a generously extended cooling surface significantly improves the vehicle’s engine and battery cooling. These pioneering technologies give the IONIQ 5 N remarkable resistance to any performance degradation that could be caused by heat. This ensures a continuously powerful driving experience even in demanding, thermally stressful situations.
The exterior appearance of the IONIQ 5 N is characterised by a wealth of performance-enhancing design elements that highlight the model as a genuine high-performance sports car. These include contrasting black trim parts and a wing-like rear spoiler, which not only emphasise the sporty image but also maximise the potential for circuit driving. Compared to the standard IONIQ 5, the N high-performance sports car has modified proportions. It is 20 mm lower overall to achieve an even more dynamic appearance, 50 mm wider to accommodate wider tyres and thus optimise road grip, and 80 mm longer due to the more pronounced diffuser. These modifications not only give the IONIQ 5 N a striking appearance, but also impressive handling on the racetrack.

In the IONIQ 5 N, Hyundai uses the most powerful braking system developed for use on the racetrack. The front axle is equipped with generous 400mm discs and four-piston monobloc brake callipers, while 360mm discs are used on the rear axle. These high-performance brakes are made from innovative, lightweight materials and benefit from an optimised airflow that ensures extremely efficient cooling.
In addition, the regenerative braking system in the IONIQ 5 N has been reinterpreted to maximise braking performance. It acts as the primary source of braking power and enables impressive deceleration. If required, the mechanical brakes can provide additional stopping power to further improve the car’s endurance on the racetrack. This optimised brake configuration gives the IONIQ 5 N outstanding performance and ensures maximum safety and control in demanding driving situations.
